An automatic lock helps keep fingers safe, and an automatic safety device cuts power to prevent overheating. Other helpful details include a wrap-around water level gauge, a 360-degree swivel base, a nonstick interior, a removable power cord, and a basket-style handle to simplify transport. The pot is no speed demon, taking about 35 minutes to boil 4.0 liters, but its convenience makes up for the initial time investment.
