I bought this to upgrade from my Breadman, which turned out loaf after loaf with no problems. I was lured by the loaves that look more like "home made" and not screaming "bread machine"!
So far, the only loaf that has turned out well is the whole wheat. Every white bread loaf has fallen, had an anemic crust even though it was on medium or dark setting, or fallen apart. This is like an exotic car that works great-- when it works. The ingredients are fresh, the yeast is new, I watched the video and did all their little tricks (mind you, that are not in the cookbook and should be)and still disappointment. If anyone has any great ideas, lay em on me. This has been a sheer disappointment, and all this fussiness about layer and spread and coddle the ingredients. My old one you just added the ingredients in the order listed and loaf after loaf of great, albeit tall, bread. I'm bummed I passed on my Breadman when I bought this turkey.
